Fine tuning is our newest music feature. Dropping approximately every 2-3 weeks, it’s goal is to act as a sort of one-stop-shop for some of the more interesting recent rock and metal releases.
With the above in mind, for your aural pleasure we now present Fine Tuning #5.

One perhaps for fans of Anathema or Porcupine Tree, Unsolved is the latest single from Finnish atmospheric rockers The Chant. If you like the track, then you’re in luck – their new album Approacher drops next week!
Foo Fighters – “Run”
These guys needs little introduction. Foo Fighters are back, and they’ve unleashed one of their catchiest songs in years! Check out Run below.
In This Moment – “Roots”
Now here’s a band that seems to have really taken off over the past five years or so. Just a few days ago they dropped this lyric video for Roots, a single taken off their upcomig album Ritual.
Poseidon – “Chainbreaker”
One of the more memorable bands that we saw at last year’s inaugural HRH: Doom vs Stoner festival were these noisy doomsters. This past week saw them debut their latest song, the absolutely crushing Chainbreaker. If you like what you hear, then you’re in luck – their new album Prologue is out next month.
Pristine – “Sophia”
Pristine are a Norweigan psychedelic blues rock bands hailing from Tromsø. Sophia is their second promo song for their eagerly anticiptated 4th album Ninja, which is soon for release.
Projected – “Reload”
Projected is a side-project/supergroup consisting of members with experience in the likes of Sevendust, Tremonti, Alter Bridge, Creed and Submersed. After initially getting together for a debut album in 2012, the members only recently got back together after touring with their respective bands. Reload is a single from their upcoming second album Ignite My Insanity.
Queens of the Stoneage – “The Way You Used To Do”
Another bands that needs little introduction are QOTSA. Ahead of the release of their latest album Villains, they have dropped this catchy little rockabilly tune.
Sólstafir – Silfur-Refur
Last, but by no means least, Icelandic post-metallers Sólstafir have returned with another slab of metal melancholy.
That’s it for this edition of Fine Tuning. Keep your eyes peeled for the 6th edition, which will likely drop in 2-3 weeks.
